Call for Application! Best of the Best: ECG, EGM and CIED Case Competition Session at APHRS 2026 Busan

Feb 12 2026, Thursday

Following its successful launch at APHRS 2025 Yokohama, “Best of the Best Clinical Case Competition” will continue at APHRS 2026 Busan.

This session is a clinical case competition for fellows in training and will be conducted in three categories: ECG, EGM, and CIED tracings.

Eligibility is limited to electrophysiology/cardiology fellows in training within the Asia-Pacific region.

All submitted cases will be reviewed and graded by a panel of expert faculty, and shortlisted cases from each category will be invited for on-site presentation at APHRS 2026 Busan.

The on-site competition is expected to be conducted in two rounds, and the final winners in each category will be awarded certificates.

All fellows invited to present on-site at APHRS 2026 will receive complimentary registration.

However, travel, accommodation, and other related expenses will be the responsibility of the presenters.

Guidelines for Submission

  1. The category of case submission (ECG, EGM, or CIED) should be clearly indicated during submission.
  2. The category of submission should be decided by the presenter based on where the main focus of the case lies. For instance, an "ECG" category case may have an EGM as part of the presentation; however the main feature or unique point of the case should rest in the ECG. Similarly, ECGs may be shown as part of a "Device tracing" case; however the main or unique feature of the case should be the device tracing(s).
  3. Case submission must be prepared in PowerPoint format and limited to a maximum of 5 content slides, excluding the title slide. The final file should be converted to PDF and uploaded in PDF format.
  4. The presentation should not contain any identifying details, including the presenter’s name, institution, or country, to ensure anonymous grading.
  5. The last date for submission for the "Best of the Best" case competition is June 18, 2026, 11pm (SGT).
  6. Fellows shortlisted for the second in-person round will be contacted via email, with further instructions regarding rules for the on-site presentation.
